Halloween treat bags

Hi everyone, just a quick post from me this morning with the little treat bags I have made for my multitude of trick or treaters tomorrow! I'm going to be up to my arms in pumpkin this afternoon!
I have made these using a Waltizingmouse stamp and have used little celophane bags and chocolate covered raisins for maximum effect (bats droppings lol!)

I have made 57 bags (with the help of my mum) and will probably still have to have a back up plan when I run out (yes I seriously get that many trick or treaters!)
I hope everyone else has fun halloweens if you celebrate it!

Hugs to you all!

Anyway on to my project for this fortnights creative cottage challenge which has been chosen by our very own Tracy and this time she has challenged you to use embossing on your projects!
I have used these gorgeous new papers from the black cherry paper kit available now in store aren't they just gorgeous!! I have also followed the sketch this wk over at friday sketchers.

I have used this adorable sprinkles on cloud stamp from pink gem designs and she is available as both a digi and a polymer stamp and Janet has also got some more nesties back in stock woo hoo! She is sitting on butterfly embossed card.
My gorgeous flowers are wild orchids with large hip roses from mulberry crafts again. My sentiments stamp is waltzingmouse stamps again!

I have coloured my image ala prisma pencils and have sparkled the cloud and her wings with stickles. I am also entering this into Craft your passions sparkle and shine challenge and papertake weeklys sparkly and bright challenge.

OSAAT celebrations challenge

Hi everybody not been about much due to my eldest having tonsilitus now! We are just a sickly house at the mo lol!
Sunday means it's time for another challenge over at OSAAT which this wk follows the theme of celebrations and the chance to win 5 digis from the store!
It's a nice easy theme for everyone to join in with and make something for ANY type of celebration!
I was lucky enought to be able t0 showcase one of our designers Gingerloft and despite my misgivings of male cards (I'm just not that great lol!) I chose this fab Hero man image to work with because I thought he was just brilliant!

I have used Cheery Arte papers and have followed the sketch this wk over at sweet sketch wednesday. I have coloured him with prisma pencils and used ribbon from stash and a star stamp from stampin up. My gems are from stash and my sentiment is waltzing mouse stamps.
I would also like to enter him into lexis creations birthdays challenge, Tuesday throwdown anything goes and Partytime tuesday anything goes birthday card challenge.

But I was lucky enough to make another card for this challenge, so after all that testoserone I just had to go as pink as possible lol! I used Stitchys Lil Angel stamp. She is so super cute and pretty! I have followed the sketch over at Fairymoon this wk, a little challenge blog another blogging friend pointed me towards (thanks Bev). My papers are partially nitwits download and also some scraps.
My gorgeous lace with ribbon running through was an e bay purchase and my flourishes cut from sparkle card stock are Marrianne Ds. My stunning flowers are of course wild orchids with my fab Hip roses coming from mulberry crafts (I love those beauties!) I have coloured my image with Prismas and sparkled her dress to the maximum! I do have a sentiment (SU) saying celebrate in pink along the side but my overkill on flowers seems to be partially hiding it lol!

I would aso like to enter this little cutee into flutterby wednesdays anything goes challenge, Stamp somethings Digi day challenge and totally gorjuss' sparkle challenge.

Thanks for popping by to see me again. I hope you can join in with our fabulously open challenge this wk and why not pop over to the challenge blog to see what other stunning creations the DT have made! Thanks again and hugs

Hi everyone and welcome to the crafty sentiments new xmas release BLOG HOP!!! If you have arrived here from Tammylees blog then you are in the right place! If not pop on back to the crafty sentiments blog again to check details of the hop from the beginning. Don't forget to leave some lovely comments along the way at each DT member and the challenge blog so we know you have hopped along us all, in order to be in with a chance of winning 2 new release xmas stamps! So get hopping you have until sat to do so!!
Our theme this wk for our challenge (which will run until next thurs) is to make ANYTHING BUT A CARD and the DT have made some amazing creations to inspire! I have made these 2 xmas door hangers using xmas Amy and Mike (how cute?!) one is for my girls room (they share) and the other for my little man.

My papers are from the gorgeous delightful christmas digi papers, also new releases at the crafty sentiments store.

I have layered my images for a 3d effect although I don't think you can see that well in my photos lol! Little Mike here has gold diamontes around the hanger and gold xmas chiffon ribbon from my stash. My holly was a purchase from mulberrycrafts and I have lightly inked the edges with tea dye. My sentiment sign is handwritten as if from a child (not too difficult for me with my childish scrawl lol!!) and Mike has been coloured with Prismas.
Adorable Amy has MS punched snowflakes on her hanger with some stickles sparkle to both the snowflakes and her hat and scarf, there are red pearls around the hanger and red chiffon ribbon from stash this time. Same childish scrawl sentiment lol! Amys head and scarf are layered here.
I have loved making these and the kids love them too which is definitely a bonus! There are 4 new xmas releases so check out the rest on the other DT examples! From my blog you should be hopping on over to the crafty sentiments challenge blog where you finish yay!
Thanks for hopping along and we hope you can find the time to join in our challenge this wk too!
Hugs everyone

OSAAT fave embellies challenge

Hi everyone, sorry for not having been about the last couple of days, my darling 3 yr old little man has been quite sick which has meant a severe lack of sleep and inadvertantly catching the same sickness myself, the fun of having small children I guess!
It's sunday which means another challenge over at OSAAT this wk and we are challenging you to use your favourite embellishments.
For my card I have followed the sketch this wk over at sweet sketch wednesday and have been lucky enough to use this absolutely stunning image by Barbara Jensen which is available at the store isn't she just beautiful?
I have used my fave embellies , can you guess?!! Flowers of course, with a spinkling of sparkle and some lace too. My papers are partially shabby princess with a little pink petticoat thrown in. My fabulous image has been coloured with prisma pencils and my flowers are wild orchids, with my hip roses from mulberry crafts.
The DT have made some amazing creations this wk so pop across and give them some love!
I am also entering this into Pollycrafts fairytale challenge, City crafters wings challenge, ABCs flowers challenge, Pennys paper crafty if it flies challenge and sweet stampins ribbon challenge (I have chiffon ribbon through the centre of my card)

All white challenge at crafty sentiments

Happy Thursday! That means another new challenge over at the crafty sentiments challenge blog which this wk has been chosen by the lovely Dora who has now become a permanent member of our DT yay! Dora has challenged us to have an all white creation except for the image.
It's a fab challenge for those snowy xmas cards, however I broke out my adorable wedding Amy image for this one as I love her so much! I have used a combination of off white and white (hope that isn't cheating lol!) and there is a weeny bit of pink in one of my flowers, so I hope I didn't essentially break the rules lol!

I used an off white rose vellum over white hammered cardstock for the base of my card and then put across this very wide lace I purchased from ebay. My gorgeous white doily diecut is from hobbyhabitat and my flowers are a combination of wild orchids and mulberry crafts

I didn't go for major colour on my image, instead made a subtle pink bride. My gorgeous white butterly was cut with Marrianne ds from off white glitter cardstock. I am entering this into cute card thursdays whats buggin you challenge (my butterfly).
Why not pop across and join us for this unusual challenge and don't forget next wk we will be having a crafty sentiments bloghop to launch the new christmas images so don't miss that one!

Thanks for popping by again hugs all

Creative cottage halloween theme and treat box tutorial

Good morning all! Today sees another challenge over at the creative cottage challenge blog and this time our theme has been chosen by the fabulous Teri and she has chosen HALLOWEEN! So we are all making spooky things! I have chosen to make a card and another treat box and figured that this time I would give you a little tutorial on how I make my treat box too!
Here are my creations using fab papers and halloween topper from the creative cottage shop.
My card has been made using the sketch over at paperplay this wk, quite a simple little sketch but fab all the same! I have used this cute digi image from a set I won over at digi stamp boutique, my tulle is from an ebay purchase and my pumpkin charm is pink gem designs. I really can't remember where my sentiment stamp is from, it was a digi set of 3 but I can't remember where from sorry! My gorgeous flowers are of course wild orchids.

My cute little image was cloured with prismas to match my paper colours. I also want to enter him into fussy and fancys halloween challenge this wk.

Now onto my treat box tutorial, I hope you can understand what I'm waffling on about and can get the gist from the photos lol!
I started with a 12x12 (30x30) piece of black cardstock and drew out a template of 24 x 30 cm as below. the blacklines are where I cut out the template, the dotted lines where scored and folded. The blue areas are wasted.

Hopefully if you follow the template above you should have a piece of cardstock that looks a bit like this! Here I have folded all the edges including the small flaps at either side of the triangle sections.

Now to decorate! I used patterned paper on the 2 larger sides and left the triangle sections plain and used white spooky rub ons. On the front section of the box I have used a creative cottage halloween topper along with some dark green tulle and a small leaf and flower. On both the larger sides (front and back) of treat box you need to make holes for eyelets. I have made mine about 2cm in from each side and 1cm down from the top, as long as the front and back ones match up its your choice (one of my front eyelets are hiding under the halloween topper!)

I have then glued the front panel to the side flaps of the triangle pieces. Only glue the front and not the back, otherwise your box won't open! I have chosen to glue the front as my twine ties at the back of my box, if you wanted ribbon tie at the front than you could glue the back panel instead.

I have then threaded twine through my front panel eyelets and through the back panel eyelets and tied to close the box. Sometimes the little triangle side pieces of the box can be a bit pointy when closed so I just trim off the tops. Here is the back view now finished.

And here is the finished front view of my treat boxes, hopefully you can follow my instructions! I will pop in some packets of sweets for my nephews for halloween!

Thanks loads for coming by my blog again! Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and join in with our spooky fun this fortnight to be in with a chance of winning some creative cottage products! Hugs everyone
