New challenge blog!

Hi everyone!
I've been MIA again!
I just wanted to pop by and tell you about a new challenge blog opening
The official start date is 5th July and we are sponsored by a national wholesaler Crafts-too which supply a number of craft outlets across the UK.
To celebrate there is a give away!
All you need to do is become a follower of the challenge blog, post this piccy in your sidebar with link back to the challenge blog and then pop your name in the linky.
I have been a bit busy though despite my absence as it was my daughter's 11th birthday yesterday.
Here is the cake I made..
Here is the inside..
Yeah that took lots of baking layers! And here are the cupcakes I made to go with the rainbow theme..
This was Hiolette in the morning with her new Ipad mini (yeah bought clearly for my benefit too!)
So that is what has been keeping me busy at the moment!
Thanks for coming by to say Hi, don't forget to check out the super new challenge blog and to start following us for the great new upcoming challenges!

Just a quick post from me to let you know that there is a DT call going on over at Black with 2 and you can read all about it HERE.
You only have to produce 1 piece per month and it's a great challenge to use some black!
It's for a 6 month term (so that's only 6 cards!) with a chance to stay on longer if you want!

It's been a while...

Well actually it's not been as long as it seems thanks to my scheduled posts last week but I haven't actually crafted or blogged in well over a week as we have been on holiday.
But we are back now and the kiddies are settling back in at school whilst I chase after this husky with a lint roll and a hoover as she is blowing her coat again and my house is fast becoming a furry white palace!
I have combined my DT work today for Divas by Design where the challenge is Happy Birthday and Midweek Magnolias where the challenge is to use your favourite colours.
Over at Divas we are sponsored by the fab Shape EZ templates and I have used their butterfly flip card template for my card. I have used my favourite colour of pink with this uber cute fairy Tilda.
My flowers and cameo are WOC with a recollections flower in there and a butterfly from little snippets. My paper is Tim Holtz and my birthday tag is LOTV.
I have coloured sweet Tilda with prisma pencils. I painted the edge of the card template in tattered rose crackle paint and then stamped over with a stempelglede flourish sttamp and
prima text stamp in black, before I put my shabby chic paper on it.
Don't forget to join us for both the challenges and to check out what my fab teamies have made for the challenges!
Thanks for coming by everyone!

Our first challenge at A creative Romance!!!

What an exciting day today! It's the first challenge at the brand new, fabulous challenge blog A Creative Romance and although this week it's the turn of the Chic Crafters (I'm on Elegant Artisans team) I just had to join in with the launch and we have the best theme to start with, it's anything goes!
We are sponsored by the awesome Ribbon girl who are offering  £10 voucher to spend in their fab store!
I have used these bright and cheery papers from MME for my card along with flowers from WOC, bling flourish and butterflies from prima and metal token from Tim Holtz.
I have used this stunning "smokin hot" image from Saturated Canary and have coloured her with prisma pencils. I have given her a pink dip dye treatment on her hair which is just how mine is at the moment. However, my daughter was checking out my colouring and said she looks just like me....only skinnier, er yeah cheers for that!
I have used an SU flower stamp around the edge in worn lipstick DI.
Do check out the amazing creations from the rest of the teamies, we also have some incredibly talented Guest designers over there this week so do check them all out!
Why not join us too with your creations, you have the chance not only to win the fab prize, but the coveted badge of paper goddess!
Thanks for coming by my blog again everyone!

Show us your Lovely at Saturated Canary

Hello friends, I hope you are all well out there!
Today I have a card for the new Saturated canary challenge.
This time we are doing something a little different. We are all showcasing the same image, this is "lovely" from the current digi release and she really is lovely isn't she?
So, we want you to show us your "lovely" too, you can grab her over at Saturated Canary if you haven't had the chance to grab her already and get creating.
I have used first edition papers with butterflies from prima, jute, cameo and flowers from WOC and my usual overload of crackle paint!
I have coloured the beautiful "lovely" with prisma pencils and have added some shabby white frantage to edge.
I have created this for my daughter's 11th birthday which we will be celebrating the week after we come back from holiday so I wanted to be prepared!
Do check out the stunners from the rest of the team, it's fun to see what everyone has created with the same image!
Thanks for coming by my blog everyone

Black with 2

Happy 1st June everyone!
Can you believe it is June already?! Well my heating bill doesn't seem to believe me! I am hoping that June brings us nice warm weather to stay now!
The 1st of the month means a new challenge over at Black with 2 and this time our palette is as follows..
Pinks and browns with that predominant black and here is what I made...
I have used beautiful MME papers for this card along with fab flower from WOC and prima, butterflies from Kays, sentiment stamp from Pink gem and girly sentiment from Papertrey Ink. I have also used some black tulle under my layers too.
Sigh, I just adore this image. She is "bad hair day" from Mos and I have coloured her with prismas. This should make my mum chuckle as I once sat under the table and cut a massive chunk out of my hair just like this!
I made this card as a thank you to the fab lady who did my tattoo. I know I paid her lol but I just adore the job she did so much which is pretty important for something you are gonna have on your body forever! For those of you not on my facebook page and therefore have not seen it here is a sneaky photo just after it was done...
Apologies for all the naked flesh, I'm not prone to flashing! I am sooooooo pleased with it though. It really looks like my skin has opened and cracked to reveal a stunning blue sky and birds flying out symbolizing a sense of freedom and freshness underneath the surface.
Anyway, I do hope you will join us over at Black with 2 for this month and this fab colour palette!
Thanks for coming by my blog
Big hugs

A golden wedding card

Morning everyone! How is everyone today? Getting ready for a fun weekend? I am working again over this weekend so if we have nice weather like we did last weekend I'm not likely to see that much of it!
Today I have a card commission to show you, a golden wedding anniversary card. Well, this sort of thing scares me lol! I always imagine golden wedding cards to be simple flowers with lots of gold shiny bits! But I figured why not have a nice couple with some warm gold colours? So this is what I did..
I have used papers from Black market paper society, jute and flowers from WOC with some flowers from The ribbon girl too. My key is Creative expressions and my butterfly is prima.
My beautiful couple are from Tiddlyinks and I have coloured them with prisma pencils. I have edged with an SU flourish stamp in gold ink.
I adore the warm colours on this and the simply beautiful image. I have forever changed the face of my anniversary cards lol!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog everyone, it's lovely to read your comments!

This week we are bustling around with the noise of children off at half term and then we are all popping off on our hols soon for a few days break so it's all go here!
I hope everyone else out there is keeping well!
We have a brand new challenge over at Midweek Magnolias today and it's "make it sparkle"
I have used Pion papers for my card double mounted on pink and kraft cardstock. I have used a tonne of stickles sparkle on the edges of the kraft cardstock and on the flowers but the photo doesn't show that well!
My flowers are from LLC, WOC and Petal Lu. My foliage die cut is magnolia, my bling flourish and wooden ticket prima and my butterflies little snippets.
My sweet Tilda has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have mounted her on a nesties frame and have given her the shabby pink frantage treatment. She also has uber sparkly shoes thanks to stickles again!

Birthdays at Midweek Magnolias

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lateness of my post today, we had parents evening last night and it was lengthy! All was well, thank goodness, but it did mean a late tea and less time for valuable crafting last night!
But I am here at last with my DT card for midweek Magnolias and our theme is "birthdays"
I have to say I'm not overly keen on my card today tho!
My gorgeous papers are Pion and I have used some flowers and jute from Wild orchid crafts, other flowers from Kort & Godt. My embroidered butterfly is little snippets, my on the edge butterfly die Tim Holtz and my wooden tag is prima.
My sweet Hula hooping Tilda has been coloured with prisma pencils and then mounted on some foam to help her pop out a bit. I have used stempelglede stamps in dusty concord ink on the paper underneath.
Do check out the rest of the fab teams creations and also make sure you enter for a chance at that amazing prize from Magnolia in Sweden!
I would like to enter this into..

CAS

Er, yes you read the title right! I do not do CAS and as a rule I don't do male cards either, just not enough fluff, fancy and flowers for my liking! That being said, sometimes you just have to and it's my nephew's 13th birthday today so I had to make a simple boy card for a teenager!
Of course the perfect place for teenager style images for boys has got to be Mos, so here is my CAS card..
I have used Authentique papers for my card with kraft cardstock and a sentiment from Waltzing mouse. I have machine stitched all my papers and tied a piece of twine behind a button for my minimalist embellishments!
This is Mos fab image "Paul texting" who is just perfect for teenage boys! I have coloured him with prisma pencils of course!
I guess cards like this are all about the image so you need to choose a good one!
I am entering this into Mos challenge CAS, Sweet stampin clean and simple and Our creative corner anything goes.
Thanks for coming by my blog!
